What It Is
A semi-portal crane features one side running on a floor rail (like a gantry) and the other side running on an elevated runway beam (like an overhead crane). It is the hybrid between overhead and gantry cranes. Where It’s Used Tool rooms, partial-access bays, factories where only one side of gantry rail can be installed, outdoor/indoor mixed-use areas. |
